Root Canal Treatment
When a tooth’s blood or nerve supply is infected through decay or injury, it’s essential to have treatment as soon as possible.
It may be that you don’t feel any pain in the early stages, or have a dull ache, severe pain or your teeth may feel tender. Infection may eventually lead to an abscess that needs to be treated before the tooth has to be taken out.
Our team are skilled in carrying out root canal treatments using local anaesthetic to minimise any discomfort. It may be that your treatment takes 2 visits, but in that time we will carefully remove infected pulp and drain any abscesses. We’ll also clean and shape the root canal ready for filling.
The techniques we use mean that the tooth is usually not discoloured, leaving your teeth as good as new.
