Crowns are an efficient and cost-effective way to fix broken or decayed teeth and restoring strength. They’re recommended for improving the appearance of discoloured fillings, protecting root fillings and holding a bridge or denture firmly in place.
Your dentist will prepare the tooth, leaving the strong inner core over which the crown is fitted securely.
Crowns can be made of porcelain, gold, glass, ceramic or bonded crowns and are fitted with a special adhesive over at least 2 appointments.
As with veneers, each crown is custom made for you and designed to match the colour of your natural teeth.
